Meet Alma

La Cocina de Jalisco is a labor of love from Alma Reynaga, co-owner of Two Busy To Cook Catering.

 

Born and raised in the small town of Unión de Tula, Jalisco, Mexico, Alma's story begins with humble roots and a big heart. At just 13, she took her first job at a local market, where the sights, smells, and rhythms of daily life sparked a deep love for food. When she later moved to the U.S., Alma stayed connected to her roots by calling her mom back home for cooking lessons, recreating cherished family recipes over the phone, one dish at a time.

 

Over the years, Alma not only mastered her family’s traditional recipes but also began creating her own, blending tradition with creativity. La Cocina de Jalisco was born from this passion, a beautiful tribute to the flavors of her childhood and the culture that shaped her.

 

Each dish, from the beloved Torta Tulense with garlic roasted pork loin and house-pickled jalapeños to the mouthwatering Adobada Pork Tacos, tells a story. These are more than just meals, they're memories served with love, bold flavors, and a deep sense of home.
